Realme GT Neo 2 Review: Slick Display With Great Performance & Super Fast Charging, But Camera Disappoints

The realme GT Neo 2 is the company’s latest premium offering in India. Launched in China earlier, the smartphone competes with the likes of OnePlus 9R, Vivo X60 Pro, Mi 11X, and more, making the less expensive flagship war more powerful. Right from the bat, the Realme GT Neo 2 comes with high-quality specification - a 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, stainless steel steam cooling, and a triple rear camera (on paper). I have been using the Realme GT Neo 2 as my main device for the past few days, and to mark product launch, I will tell you what I saw for the first time on a smartphone to help you decide if the Realme GT Neo 2 is worth your Rs 31,999 or more.

So the smartphone comes with a very attractive package and the box just tells you that the smartphone means a sensitive business. We get a smartphone, a 65W charging brick with USB cable C-type C, and a Realme GT Neo 2 silicone cover, next to all the paperwork. The smartphone comes in a beautiful black box with a pattern similar to carbon fiber and yellow details to tell its Realme flagship. Catching the Realme GT Neo 2 for the first time sounds like you’re carrying a well-designed sandwich, a surprisingly strong light that shines brighter than its first appearance at first glance.

The Realme GT Neo 2 comes with a 6.62-inch flat hole-punch display with small bezels and a small chin. While the curved screen looks like an extra premium, the flat display does not usually touch accidentally. Personally I like a flat screen, so this is great. The rear panel of the Realme GT Neo 2 has an interesting finish. We found a dark color in our review, which seems to have a matte edge when there is no light, but a light when exposed to light. A great finish that will delight both types of users - those who love matte and those who like a gradient-like finish. I liked it personally as it is not shiny and does not hold fingerprints like those glossy finish back panels.

The camera module is a rectangular edge that makes the phone rotate on a flat surface. The camera module consists of two large vertical lenses, and the third, a small lens located on the right side of the two main lenses. The Realme icon is hidden (thank god!) With a small "realme" marker in the lower left corner of the back panel. USB port C is at the bottom, next to the speaker. The power button is located on the right, with a rocker rocker on the left side of the Realme GT Neo 2.

DISPLAY

The display is one of the things that impressed me the most about the Realme GT Neo 2. The 120Hz refresh rate makes the experience very smooth, as well as the 600Hz touch response rate. The standard refresh rate seems to work well, and the scrolling on the Realme GT Neo 2 is very intense. Depending on the brightness and brightness and the Realme GT Neo 2 display is awesome. It runs YouTube videos up to 4K resolution and has a maximum brightness of 1,300 numbers. Watching videos and playing games is a thrill on Realme’s latest flag.

When the display falls behind the color accuracy. While this is a very bright and smooth display, the detail and color accuracy is not the best. All in all, its display is good and goes with the competition, if not earlier.

WORKING AND BATTERY

Now, performance is where Realme bet the most on the Realme GT Neo 2. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with 12GB RAM (we got a 12GB RAM variant to update), which extends to 19GB with Realme's expansion technology. RAM that allows users to take 7GB of free storage and convert it into expanded RAM. As a show, the performance of the Realme GT Neo 2 is also very smooth. The smartphone showed no signs of slowing down during all our tests. Note that I used the Realme GT Neo 2 in full light and focused on 120Hz for most of my trial and played heavy games like Battlegrounds Mobile India, Asphalt 9, and more and the smartphone did not cause any problems. The smartphone is able to use Battlegrounds Mobile India in mixed settings without any signs of slowing down. A benchmark test of the Realme GT Neo 2 showed a single point of 1,014 and a multi-core rating of 3,085.

Realme says the Realme GT Neo 2 comes with an eight-layer cooling system that includes Diamond Thermal Gel and stainless steel steam technology. During my playing time, the smartphone showed signs of heat, but there was nothing significant. Good temperature control.

While I am experiencing problems with device speed, user information is not the best. Realme UI does not make the Android experience easier or smoother. While it has improved a bit since the last time I used the Realme UI, it is still not as good as stock Android or other good explosives like OxygenOS. The bloatware is still very much present and the controls are not smooth in some areas.

The battery in the Realme GT Neo 2 is also good. During my use, I charged the phone to 100 percent on Saturday, and I used it in full light at a refreshing 120Hz rate everywhere, next to playing heavy games like Battlegrounds Mobile India, and the smartphone still works for about 48 hours, almost a few hours expensive juice the remaining money. Good battery backup.

The charging speed of the Realme GT Neo 2 is also foolishly fast. The smartphone comes with Realme's 65W fast charging technology. I put the smartphone on a 7 percent charge at about 2:48 PM and it was 100 percent before 3:20 PM - that's less than 40 minutes from 7 percent to 100 percent !!

THE CAMERA

The Realme GT Neo 2 camera is just in the middle. There is a triple rear camera on the smartphone that includes a 64-megapixel primary shooter, wide-angle lens, and macro shooter. The camera captures beautiful, beautiful images in well-lit areas with its main lens.
